It’s been less than a year since I’ve started making jewelry… and it has become an addicting and liberating experience.
When I see a piece in the store that catches my eye, I think about how I could make it myself. And oftentimes, I do. It’s amazing how satisfying it is to own a jewelry piece that I created in minutes, and cost a fraction of the price.
Do you remember this horseshoe necklace that I made a few months back? I was inspired by a Stella and Dot piece that cost 10 times as much as it did to make it myself.
Ten times!
If you love jewelry, it makes sense to stop paying retail, and start making your own.
I get a lot of my supplies from Consumer Crafts; they have a huge online catalogue of jewelry-making supplies that are inexpensive, but still stylish. This month is Jewelry Month at Consumer Crafts, and they’re celebrating that by offering a free download of a Jewelry-Making E-book!
Download it, check it out, and then get the supplies you need to make your own!
This month, Consumer Crafts is offering 10% off of all Jewelry-making accessories, so it’s a great time to stock up. Each tutorial in the E-book has a supply list to reference.

Love this giveaway! I’ve been dabbling in jewelry making recently and only just found the consumer crafts site. Fingers crossed 🙂

Some of their pendants are just gorgeous. I’ve made a few pieces of jewelry, but not as many as I’d like.

I love their pendants and connectors. If you’re getting into jewelry, Shauna, you should check Consumer Crafts out for sure!
