I’ll bet that you thought that I’d have a strictly-gold Christmas this year. That I’d run around like a wild woman, spray painting everything in sight.
I can’t say that it won’t happen, but I will have to stop Queen Midas’ reign to share another holiday love of mine: Christmas trees.
Trees are so rustic, beautiful, and best of all – diverse! There are so many ways to incorporate a tree into holiday decor.
I collected all of these projects from an incredible Pinterest Board called “Holiday Idea Exchange” – it’s a collaboration of some absolutely incredible ideas, and worth a perusal. And yes… maybe some of my stuff might be on there… waiting for more Christmas-crazy pinners!
But first, some eye candy:
You will be amazed at how Virginia, from Fynes Designs, created these gorgeous ribbon trees. Click through to see her ingenious idea!
If you’re looking for a non-traditional and colourful tree craft, try these pom-pom trees from Tatertots & Jello!
And check this beauty out! Bev from Flamingo Toes shares this gorgeous snow globe necklace as a guest post on Tatertots and Jello! What a sweet little gift this is!
And this wreath! I love this wreath! I need Mr. Suburble to get handy with the saw because I would love to have this hanging on our front door. Laura from Finding Home Online shares how to make this awesome Wood Slice and Burlap wreath.
And lastly, this awesome free printable from Kellie on Nest of Posies would be fantastic hung on the wall or as part of mantel decor. Head over and download it right now!
Do these ideas not make you want to turn on the Christmas music?
For me, it’s the Kenny and Dolly CD that really gets things feeling jolly in the house.
Check out these awesome projects and let them inspire you. I know that I’m already feeling crafty just writing this post!

Cute I have the cones to make some going to check your board!
Tara
Oh, thanks, Mel! I wish it were my board, but it’s actually the work of Jen (from Tatertots and Jello) and a group of other rad ladies. But it’s filled with great stuff! Worth the follow!

Great inspiration to get me ready to craft for Christmas! The snow globe necklace is super cool!
Tara
Isn’t it? I love that necklace – may try to make it myself!

I might try and make that necklace for my sister who is a huge snow globe fan and loves Christmas more than anyone. It’s pretty cool. I’m not doing any decorating this year (everything is in storage) and I’m not sure how i’m going to handle it.
Tara
No decorating? None!?!?!
Oh man… you’re going to have to distract yourself with some crazy crafting. If you try out that snow globe necklace, let me know how it went. I’m itching to try it, too!
