You guys know that I love two things: 1) I love a good drink. Especially one in a martini glass.
And second, I love getting festive with the season. Especially Fall. I love sweaters. Scarves. Boots. Putting on a tailored jacket over your grubby, paint-spattered t-shirt and going out in public, with nobody being the wiser.
Did I just say that? No… I never do that.
Two days in a row, at least.
This chocolate orange martini is a product of me playing Little Mixologist in my booze cupboard. I found some cointreau. Then I noticed the creme de cacao behind it.
Suddenly, Mr. Bailey’s showed up, with his happy smile and deliciousness and sha-zam! We had a winning drink.
It takes like a Terry’s Chocolate Orange. But with a little bite…
- 1 ounce cointreau
- 3/4 ounce creme de cacao
- 3/4 ounce Bailey's (or other irish cream)
- 2 ounces cream
- Pour all liquor into a martini shaker filled with ice.
- Shake until chilled
- Pour into a martini glass (or high ball over ice) and enjoy!
Yes. I raided the baking cupboard again. I couldn’t help myself.
Tell me – love it or hate it? I just feel like a little sprinkle adds a lot.
And before you go – check out 8 other amazing drinks, created by some of my fellow blogging pals – it’s all about Fall, y’all!
